I have an aesthetic fueled by childhood nostalgia but also a passion for culture which, is reflected in all my work. I like to make fun pieces inspired by kaiju, bugs or other fun subjects but I also hold sociology, anthropology and philosophy with high importance not only objectively but personally. I graduated from Oakland University, May 2021, with my Bachelor of Art's in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology.
Throughout my studies I've always been drawn to social stratification and how it becomes more insidious and deliberate as we technologically and socially evolve. I've correlated Marx, musical subgenres, cultural anthropology, and sociological theories in academic writings to fortify this claim. I aspire to publish a book regarding this thought and conduct all applicable research that is necessary. Also, incorporating the importance of collectivism over individualism on an internal and external level along the way. A point I like to tie into this is that as we technologically and socially evolve there is also no longer an "excuse" for our infrastructure to operate the way it does.
Before I go to grad school, probably Fall 2022, I am taking this time to finally create art but also share it with the world. I am influenced by distortion, neon and neo noir in my photography but also like to capture varying cultures in different social locations. Many of my passions and thoughts cannot only be expressed through mediums such as jewelry, digital art, photography, etc. so I am planning on starting a sociology podcast directly on this site. It wouldn't be me without sprinkling in some "niche" and "nerdy" subjects, which I plan to correlate with sociological concepts and issues. A photography blog is in the works as well. Thank you for your time, and I cannot understate my thanks for your support.
